Troubleshooting

When the assistant does not use the tools, or a call fails

The assistant answers without calling a tool. Say so: "use the inetgeek tools". Some clients only call a tool they list as enabled for the conversation.

The client says the server needs authentication. It does not. Choose "no authentication" and leave any key or OAuth fields empty.

The connection fails immediately. Open https://inetgeek-mcp.palashbagchi.workers.dev/.well-known/mcp.json in a browser; a JSON server card means the server is up and the problem is the client's transport setting. The endpoint is /mcp and uses streamable HTTP, not SSE.

A tool answers "no published provider documents every one of…". That is the answer, not an error: nothing on inetGeek documents all of those criteria as of its checks. It does not mean none exists. Try fewer keys, or search_infrastructure to find the criterion's key.

compare_providers says a pair is not published. Only curated pairs exist. list_comparisons shows which. The server does not assemble an uncurated comparison on the spot.

An estimate lists a provider as "not priced here". The line says why: the volume is above the vendor's top printed band, the vendor sells that volume by quote, its price is in another currency (never converted), or no per-volume schedule is on file. See limits.

A DNS tool says too many lookups. The live DNS checks are rate-limited per IP address; wait the number of seconds in the message.

A figure looks wrong. Use send_feedback or the contact page with the vendor page that says otherwise. A confirmed correction replaces the record and appears in the ledger.
