Who it suits

Applications already on Workers that need to send from the same platform they run on — one binding, no separate vendor, and inbound routing free and unlimited alongside it.

Consider something else if…

You need to send on a free plan, or you need volume pricing. Outbound to arbitrary recipients is unavailable on Workers Free, and the paid allowance of 3,000 a month is small next to a dedicated email provider's.

What the free plan includesUnlimited inbound email routing on the Workers Free plan. Outbound sending to arbitrary recipients is not available on it — only sends to destination addresses you have verified in your own account, which are free on every plan and count against no quota.
