Image and video optimization
Each provider is profiled from its own pricing page, with the source recorded against every figure. Two of the four bill in credits and a credit is not the same object at either — one is a token you can spend on transformations or storage or delivery, the other is a unit with a price on it. The third runs four separate meters and the fourth counts every action taken on a file. Comparing the plan cards without that is comparing numbers that share a word.

Which to consider
One bill and one currency for images, video and asset management. A credit spends the same on transformations, storage or delivery, so a month heavy on one is absorbed by spending less on another — the only member here where a shifting workload mix does not need a plan change to match it.
Costs you can predict per resource, at the cheapest paid entry here. Bandwidth, storage, video units and extension units are four separate meters with published rates, so a workload heavy on one is not charged against the others — and the bandwidth overage falls from $0.50 to $0.45 a GB as the plan grows.
A media library that is large relative to the traffic it serves. Starter is $25 a month for 100 credits with up to 50 GB of media and 100 GB of delivery, and the per-credit price falls as bundles grow — $0.25 on Starter, $0.20 on Basic, $0.18 on Midrange.
Upload-heavy products where the work is done TO files rather than served from them. An operation is every upload, API request, transformation, video job and document conversion, so the meter follows the pipeline — and traffic and storage are billed on their own meters rather than drawn from it.
