Egress fees, compared
What it costs for data to leave 60 providers, from each provider's own pricing page. 38 publish a per-GB rate and are ranked by it, cheapest first; 14 of those charge nothing. 22 price it per TB, per region or as part of a bundle, and are listed below with their own wording rather than converted.
The rate is the one each provider's record carries — usually the first tier, in North America or Europe where rates vary by region, as the quoted text says. Categories differ in what "egress" means: a CDN's delivery price and object storage's internet egress are both what leaving costs, but not the same service. Download the table as CSV.
Ranked by per-GB rate
| Provider | Per GB | As the provider states it | Read |
|---|---|---|---|
| BorgBase | Free | None. Neither API calls nor data transfer are charged for, so a restore costs only the time. | 2026-09-15 |
| Civo | Free | Free: Civo charges nothing for egress or ingress, so there is no per-GB overage price. | 2026-09-27 |
| Cloudflare Pages | Free | No egress charge. Cloudflare states that requests to static assets are free and unlimited, and Pages Functions are billed as Workers — so bandwidth is not a metered dimension on either half of a Pages project. | 2026-09-07 |
| Cloudflare R2 | Free | Free. Cloudflare charges nothing for egress to the internet on any storage class; Infrequent Access adds a $0.01/GB retrieval fee instead. | 2026-09-06 |
| CoreWeave | Free | Free. CoreWeave charges nothing for egress or for I/O operations, and runs a zero-egress migration programme for moving data in. | 2026-09-06 |
| Crusoe Cloud | Free | Free. Crusoe Cloud does not currently charge for ingress or egress, within a VPC or to and from the public internet. | 2026-09-27 |
| Hyperstack | Free | Free. Egress and ingress traffic are not charged; a public IP address costs $0.00672043 per hour. | 2026-09-06 |
| Lambda | Free | Free. Lambda states transparent pricing with no egress fees. | 2026-09-06 |
| Nebius AI Cloud | Free | Free. Network egress and ingress traffic is not charged. | 2026-09-27 |
| Paperspace | Free | Free. No charge for ingress or egress bandwidth on Paperspace Machines. | 2026-09-27 |
| rsync.net | Free | None. Restoring is not charged for, which is the difference that matters in this category: a backup you cannot afford to read is not a backup. | 2026-09-15 |
| TensorDock | Free | Free. TensorDock states no ingress or egress fees on its GPU cloud. | 2026-09-27 |
| Tigris | Free | None, on every storage class. Tigris states it does not charge "for regional data transfer, region-to-region data transfer, or data transfer out to the internet (egress)". | 2026-09-21 |
| Wasabi | Free | None. Wasabi charges for capacity only, with no egress or API request fees. | 2026-09-06 |
| Oracle Cloud | $0.009 | $0.0085 per GB for outbound transfer originating in North America, Europe and UK beyond the first 10,240 GB a month; $0.025 per GB from APAC, Japan and South America; $0.05 per GB from Middle East and Africa. | 2026-09-25 |
| Bunny CDN | $0.01 | $0.01/GB (Europe & North America), $0.03/GB (Asia & Oceania), $0.045/GB (South America), $0.06/GB (Middle East & Africa). | 2026-09-11 |

| Kamatera | $0.01 | $0.01 per GB of traffic above a monthly server's quota (5 TB, or 1 TB in Asia); the quota and the overage count traffic received as well as sent. | 2026-09-25 |
| UpCloud | $0.01 | $0.01 per GB, only for customers who opt in to the paid transfer model, and only on egress beyond the Fair Transfer Policy share. | 2026-09-27 |
| Vultr | $0.01 | $0.01 per GB | 2026-09-05 |
| Gcore | $0.011 | $0.011 per GB in the pricing page's USD view (€0.01 per GB in its default EUR view) for traffic beyond the 1 TB a month included on the PAYG CDN plan, one rate with no regional split printed. | 2026-09-27 |

Not a single per-GB rate
Priced per TB, per region, in another currency or as part of a plan. Shown as each provider states it.
| Alibaba Cloud | No per-GB overage price on current Simple Application Server plans, which show Unlimited data transfer. | 2026-09-27 |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon CloudFront | No overage charges on the flat-rate plans; past the monthly allowance AWS may adjust delivery instead of billing - for example serving traffic from fewer or more distant edge locations. | 2026-09-13 |
| AWS Backup | Charged. Backup data transferred between AWS Regions is billed as its own line, so cross-region copies — the thing that makes a backup a disaster recovery plan — are not free the way they are at rsync.net and BorgBase. | 2026-09-15 |
| AWS Elastic Load Balancing | $0.008 per GB processed on a Classic Load Balancer. | 2026-09-15 |
| AWS WAF | Not charged as egress, but the surcharge is the point: WAF billing is in addition to CloudFront, Cognito, Application Load Balancer, API Gateway, AppSync or Shield Advanced pricing. | 2026-09-15 |
| Backblaze B2 | Free up to three times your stored capacity each month on the $6.95/TB tier; unlimited free egress on the $15/TB tier. | 2026-09-06 |
| Bunny Storage | Free to Bunny's own CDN, and no API fees or API egress charges. | 2026-09-06 |
| ClickHouse Cloud | Itemised rather than absorbed: the published example carries $1.15 of public internet egress on 10 GB and $0.16 of cross-region transfer on 5 GB. | 2026-09-15 |
| Cloudflare | Bundled into the plan price: Cloudflare states bandwidth costs are bundled rather than charged as cloud egress fees; no per-GB CDN rate is quoted. | 2026-09-13 |
| Contabo | No per-GB overage price: outbound traffic is sold as unlimited under a fair-usage policy, and the remedy Contabo states for exceptionally high or disruptive use is throttling at its discretion, not a charge. | 2026-09-25 |
| Google Cloud Run | 1 GiB of data transfer within North America free per month, after which Google Cloud networking rates apply. | 2026-09-16 |
| Hetzner | €1.00 per TB over the included traffic in Europe and the US; €7.40 per TB in Singapore. | 2026-09-05 |
| Hostinger VPS | No per-GB overage price; at the plan monthly bandwidth limit the VPS connection is throttled to 10 Mbps for the rest of the month, resetting at the start of the next month. | 2026-09-13 |
| IDrive e2 | Free up to three times your active storage volume each month — the same shape as Backblaze B2's allowance rather than the unconditional free egress R2 and Wasabi advertise. | 2026-09-06 |
| IONOS VPS | No per-GB overage price: traffic is sold as unlimited with no extra charges, however much it grows. | 2026-09-25 |
| Leaseweb | No public per-GB rate: surcharges are billed per GB at the fee agreed in the order form, which depends on network type and traffic commitment. | 2026-09-27 |
| Linode (Akamai Cloud) | 0.005 for Network Transfer, with regional overrides of 0.015 in Jakarta and 0.007 in São Paulo, and 0.01 for Distributed Network Transfer. | 2026-09-15 |
| netcup | No per-GB price on the VPS G12.5 line: traffic is a flat rate, and heavy use is throttled (to 200 Mbps on VPS 500 above a 2 TB 24-hour average) rather than charged. | 2026-09-25 |
| OVHcloud | No per-GB price on the VPS range: traffic is unlimited outside Asia-Pacific, and in Mumbai, Singapore and Sydney traffic beyond the monthly quota is limited to 10 Mbps rather than charged. | 2026-09-27 |
| Storj | $7 per TB, the same rate as storage — reduced from $20 per TB on the Standard tier. | 2026-09-06 |
| Vercel | Fast Data Transfer: first 1 TB included, then $0.15-$0.35 per GB depending on region. | 2026-09-13 |
| WP Engine | No bandwidth overage charge on Shared plans | 2026-09-05 |
