01.Evaluation guide

Who it suits

Wanting the incentive pointed the same way as yours. The fee is a share of savings actually realised, measured by your provider's billing system rather than by ProsperOps — so a month that saves nothing costs nothing, which is true of nothing else in this category.

Consider something else if…

You need to forecast the cost of the tool, or you want the tool to be a report. The percentage is never stated — "a small percentage" is the whole disclosure — and the workload product adds an unquantified flat fee per managed resource. There is no monthly price to compare.

Pricing modelA share of the savings, not of the spend. ProsperOps takes a percentage of savings actually realised as determined by your provider's billing system — the page is explicit that this is not a percentage of cloud spend. Its workload product charges separately: a flat fee per managed resource per month.

When you exceed a capThere is no overage, because there is no allowance. The fee is a share of what was saved, so a month with no realised savings carries no rate-optimisation charge.
