About the company

Storj Labs filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on 26 July 2026, in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of West Virginia (case 5:26-bk-00512). The company describes it as a voluntary restructuring of legacy obligations and says service continues in the ordinary course with no anticipated interruption. That is Storj's own characterisation; the pricing and limits below were read from its documentation and are unaffected by it, but a company in Chapter 11 is a different proposition from one that is not.

01.

Who it suits.

Workloads that want data spread across many independent locations rather than one provider's region, at a storage rate close to the cheapest here.

Consider something else if…

Egress is charged at the same $7 per TB as storage, so a read-heavy workload costs roughly double what the storage line suggests — the three free-egress providers here charge nothing for it.

Pricing

Egress over allowance

$7 per TB, the same rate as storage — reduced from $20 per TB on the Standard tier. Storj charges for egress where R2, Wasabi and Tigris do not, but at a tenth of what S3 charges.
